First family road trip!

So, we had a big day on Saturday! One of my college girlfriends was having a baby shower in Brenham and since Danny's aunt and uncle live there, we decided to make it a family trip. Danny dropped me off at the shower and we got to show off the little one :) Then he hung out with the family while I was at the shower and after he picked me up we went back to their house for dinner. They live on a beautiful ranch with tons of gorgeous oak trees, horses, dogs, cats, steers - I can't wait to take Madison back when she is able to actually see/be aware of these things. She, of course, did her normal eat, sleep, and poop routine the whole time. She was a very good baby :) They have an australian shepherd that has his own longhorn (they literally got him FOR the dog so he could have a job - herding). So, Maddie had her first ride in a go cart when we went down to see the dog and steer "play" together. She just slept in her car seat the whole time but it was entertaining for Mom and Dad :) We managed to make it home right before her next feeding so we had NO fussing on the trip there or back. We got home pretty late so I was praying she would eat/sleep during the night as well as she does during the day and of course she was up almost every 2 hrs wanting to eat more! She could go almost 4 hrs during the day if we let her (we usually wake her up 3 hrs after the last feeding during the day). But, we've gone several nights now without having to hold her all night so I'll take what we can get at this point :) Her new thing is to stay awake most of the early part of the day. She was up for about 4 hrs yesterday and we are going on at least that again today!
